Texan Stops 4 Armed Robbers with an AK-47

Jeffery Turner, Jr, owner of Jeff’s Jewelry Store in Conroe, Texas, told police that four armed men entered his store and demanded jewelry, purses and other items. According to police reporter Scott Engle. one of Turner's employees pulled out an AK47 from behind the counter. One of the gunmen responded by firing at the store employees, and this began a gunfight between the robbers and the employees. At least three employees were armed and fired at the robbers.

One of the suspects was shot and killed. The other three escaped in a white Dodge Charger. The car was abandoned by the three suspects, and they now remain at large. Police have not yet released the identity of the deceased suspect or the identity of the three suspects at large.

Turner's store had been previously robbed in 2014 when a small group of men broke threw the glass door. One of the employees pulled out a shotgun, and the would-be robbers said, “They’ve got guns. Let’s get out of here.”
