Movie Preview: Deepwater Horizon

Directed by Peter Berg, a movie about “the largest man-made disaster,” Deepwater Horizon comes out in theaters September 30. This movie is rated PG-13, and the genre is drama/thriller.

The director, Peter Berg, is known for directing films such as 2004’s Friday Night Lights and 2008’s Hancock, according to IMDB.

This movie is about the largest ocean oil spill in history. On April 20, 2010 in the Gulf of Mexico when drilling oil from the bottom of the sea, a rig exploded, pouring out oil into the sea and causing the largest oil spill in history.

In this movie, cast members include Mark Wahlberg, Gina Rodriguez, Dylan O’Brien, Kurt Russell, John Malkovich, and Kate Hudson.

In addition to regular screen, the movie will also be available in IMAX. Although there are no IMAX theaters in Cairo, you can find a few in Tallahassee Fl.
