This Week in the ACC: What Should College Football Fans Watch For?

As we all know, college football season is back, an

d we’re all excited about it.

In Week 1 of college football we saw FSU bring back the largest comeback win in FSU football history. The team was lead to victory by red-shirt freshman, Deondre Francois.

During week 2, the Louisville Cardinals took the national

spotlight with two big victories

against Charlotte and Syracuse. The team is now 2-0. They are scheduled to play #2 Florida State Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 12 P.M. eastern on ABC.

This week, week 3, #2 Florida State and #10 Louisville will

go head to head in a rare top-10 ACC battle. This is the ninth ACC conference game featuring two top-10 teams within the past 10 years, and just the fifth isn’t an FSU and Clemson showdown. This will be a really good game, but this isn’t the only highlight of week 3. Here’s what we should watch for.

Lamar Jackson vs. Florida State’s Defense

Lamar Jackson has been an awesome 2 weeks so far.

He’s gotten the attention of FSU’s defense after his performance during the Charlotte and Syracuse games. Florida State’s secondary is powerful, but they’re missing their ‘Superstar Safety’, Derwin James, who in his past 4 games has 20 completions of 20 yards and 10 runs of distance.

Miami Goes on the Road

Appalachian State just about toppled #9 Tennessee in Knoxville o kickoff weekend.

This week however, the Mountaineers get another chance at a top-25 team, but this week, they’re playing at home against #25 Miami.

The hurricanes will travel to Boone, North Carolina for a trip that everyone figures will be a game to see. The big game sold out in less than an hour and fans will be excited to create an intimidating environment for the Miami team and fans. Even though the team has a 2-0 winning streak due to their defense, Brad Kaaya hasn’t looked so good.

Will this result in the Mountaineers tearing through Miami, or will the Hurricanes do damage to Appalachian State?
