It’s that time again, pumpkins are on the market and carving spooky faces isn’t their only use. Pumpkins have a lot of nutritious things that can benefit your health.

Pumpkins are very rich in vitamins, especially vitamin A. The pumpkin actually works like a carrot providing better eyesight and lowering the risk of cancer and heart issues.

Now you’re probably wondering how you can make healthy foods out of a something generally used to make sweet pies and cookies and this is where I come in.

The seeds of a pumpkin are very good for your body and have the same beneficial value as nut, Which is why I have to show you this quick and recipe.

Baked Pumpkins seeds

.preheat oven to 300 degrees

.depending on your taste for popcorn, add butter and salt and lather them onto the seeds.

.Let the seeds bake for about 45 minutes.

.remove seeds from oven and let them cool for 5 minutes.

Creamy pumpkin soup recipe:

Fill a saucepan a couple inches from the top with cubes of pumpkin, then add whole milk just to the top of the pumpkin. Boil until soft. Let it cool a bit (I put mine in the freezer for a few minutes) then puree in a blender. This way you don’t have to take the skin off as it is pureed into unnoticeable bits. Add salt to taste and enjoy your delicious soup!
