Musician Profile: Andy Black

Andrew Dennis Biersack, also known as Andy Black and formerly Andy Sixx and Andy Biersack, has recently released a solo album called “The Shadow Side.” He states that this solo project will not be his main focus, and that it’s just more of a hobby.
Background:
Biersack was born December 26, 1990, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He loves to sing, and is currently in a band called Black Veil Brides. He is a musician, singer, and pianist from 2006 to present time. He has many labels that he is signed to or used to be signed to and some by which his band is signed.
The band Black Veil Brides was created by Andy Black, but before he created this band, and before it all lead to the solo album, Biersack had influences by bands as a child. Bands such as Kiss, Mötley Crüe, and many more have been a huge help in his career. He was a target of bulling by the way he dressed and the music he listened to. With all that combined, Andy Black created his first band, called “Biersack,” when he was 14-years-old. Through the years, this band later evolved into Black Veil Brides with new members Jake Pitts, CC, Jinxx, and Ashley Purdy.
Andy Black’s solo album, which was released On May 6, 2016, he album is based on his love of ‘80s Synth and Goth music. The first song, “We Don’t Have to Dance,” was released March 18, 2016; this song was released before the actual album, with the music video a few days after.
