Hurricane Galveston was a Category 4 hurricane which made landfall in Galveston, Texas on September, 8th 1900. Also known as "The Great Galveston," it killed over 10 thousand people, making it the most deadly in all US history.

It formed on August, 27th, 1900, and dissipated on September, 17, 1900. The highest wind speed lasting over three minutes straight was 145 mph. The damages cost 21 million (1900 US), which is equivalent to $597.32 million (2016 US).

The Hurricane is now ranked as the 3rd costliest hurricane in U.S history but to this day is still the deadliest hurricane in U.S history.
