1st Annual Mingle and Jingle Art Hop to be held in Thomasville
The 1st Annual Mingle and Jingle Art Hop is being held this Friday and Saturday, December 6-7 at 220 East Clay Street and 422 N. Crawford Street (near the "Big Oak") in downtown Thomasville, Ga. The hours for Friday evening are 5:30 - 8:30 p.m., and the hours for Saturday are 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. All of the public is welcome.
This will be a place to meet and greet over ten artists and check out their exhibits and works. Since Christmas is just around the corner, it's pretty much a one-stop shop for one-of-a-kind gifts for family members or friends.
The Mingle and Jingle offers all kinds of things to buy or see, including paintings and other fine art, jewelry, wreaths, garden art, book sculptures, organic items and more. Most of the artists are from the Thomasville and Tallahassee areas, and others are from areas such as Athens, Ga.
Each artist has his or her own type of art, such as books transformed into art, hand-fabricated gold and silver jewelry, portraits, acrylic abstracts, and more.
There will also be a $10 raffle held at the event, and if your ticket is drawn, you will win a two-night stay at the "Viridescent Bungalow." Ten percent of the money will be donated to the Thomasville Thomas County Humane Society. The Viridescent Bungalow is an 1815 historical vacation cottage located in Thomasville, refurbished to modern standards.
